Christmas is over, so now is the best time to go shopping for things.
Stores are busy trying to clear things out of inventory, and people are busy returning gifts that they didn’t want or got the wrong size for, or whatever. Stores can’t sell it as new, so they get to move that stuff as “Open Box”.
If you don’t mind that someone else opened it first, you could pick up a pretty sweet deal this way.
Pawn shops are going to be great to hit once January rolls around. People, selling or pawning stuff because they shopped harder than they could handle, and then not being able to get their stuff out of hock… yeah. Great times for bargain shoppers.
Hell, I picked up one of those electric sander dealies for $8 yesterday at a pawn shop. Normally, these are what, $60?
I figured, why bother with Black Friday? It’s the weeks after Christmas that give me better deals with less trampling. :B
And now… go shopping!

I’m strangely excited by the fact that we’ll have an Ikea in my city that opens in a couple of days. I didn’t take off opening day because I know that people will have that place packed to the gills so they can shop there, but at the same time, I know I will visit it at least once.
The excitement that comes with a place like this arriving in my area is making me tingle with delight all down my spine. I want to walk around and see what I can afford in there, and what I might set a goal for on Furnish Our Apartment. Since we haven’t done much with Furnish Our Apartment recently, it’d be a nice refresh, so to speak.
Maybe then, I can finally have something not so straight-backed as a dinner table to sit in my living room on.

I need to get up and go have lunch.
Problem is, figuring out just what the hell I’m going to go have.
I’ve got several options:
One is Jerk Hut, which is Jamaican food. I did say to the gal that I would be back next week to ask about the Cellfire coupons that I saw, but she knew nothing about.
Another option is Cafe Hey, which is the coffee shop a couple of blocks down from me. I like the sandwiches there, and it’d put me right next to Oceanic Supermarket, so I could buy some grapefruits while there.
A third option is Grass Root, which I haven’t been to in a while, but is rather pricey.
My fourth option would be Square One Burgers, which is less pricey than Grass Root, but it takes a little time to get there. The side bonus to it, however, is that I could go to The Fresh Market thereafter, and get some more delicious Orangina.
I still have other, cheaper options like KFC, Taco Bell, Chipotle, or hitting a grocery store up for some meat to cook.
Oi, choices, choices.
