Moving Excitement.

World, it’s been a long trip since early 2007, but I’m finally starting to move forward again. This leaves me feeling quite excited, a bit nervous, a bit nauseous, among things, but it’s like stage fright, really.

Steve and I are moving out of the Salvation Army into an apartment together very shortly, as long as everything is approved. I’m excited by the idea, because it means I only have to contend with one person’s snoring and bad habits, not a house full of men doing the same thing.

Right now, I only have one minor dilemma, and that is getting a vehicle so that I can commute on my own back and forth. I don’t mind if it’s a beater, as long as it gets me to the parking lot at work with at least 10 minutes to spare each day. I just want to get started on the buying process by the time I move, so that my work commute isn’t a pain in the thigh (where my wallet sits).  I also wouldn’t mind a scooter, but I can’t afford to pay the lump sum at once — a couple of thousand is a bit of a stretch, which is why a payment plan would be made of awesome here.

One thing I’ve noticed in this country, which is depressing, is that if you make a mistake as a teenager, you spend a very long time making up and paying for those mistakes, with so few willing to work with you on that road forward. It’d be nice if I were wrong about that, though.

It’s 2008 already…

Well, I haven’t bothered blogging since last year, it seems. There’s a fair bit going on, and I just can’t seem to sit down and post one off to here unless I’m in the mood to do so.

To sort of recap it all, let me start with this: I’ve done a bit of shopping to keep my spirits high.
I bought a few shirts from shirt.woot, including a shirt that’d be perfect for Valentine’s Day with the text, “Be my Dragontine?” on its front. Another shirt is all black, with a snowflake and diamond pattern on the front that looks very crisp. I’ve got to give those guys some serious kudos for their designs, since I’m spending $10 a shirt there (Cheap!) on some days.
I recently picked up a George Foreman grill for myself, since I’m still in the transitional housing program at the Salvation Army. Now, I can actually buy real meat (Gasp!), cook it, and eat it as part of a meal that I’ve prepared for myself.
I bought a couple of bottles from storybottles.com, and have them sitting right here in my cubicle at work. I can’t really decide on how I’m going to fill these. Ideally, I want to use distilled water, with a bit of food coloring, but I don’t want the food coloring to stain the bottle. I assume that with the distilled water lacking minerals, etc., and with the right food coloring, there won’t be any harm done to the insides.

At some point, I should get regular with my blogging again. I just haven’t had the energy to want to bother doing it lately.
