Rez HD no Jutsu!

I recently bought Rez HD for my XBox 360, which is an XBox Live Arcade game that costs 800Microsoft Points icon (about US $10).

The game is very heavy on synæsthesia-inducing effects, at least for me; Colors just grow in intensity as the sound grows, with bright lights flashing around when things go pop! on screen. Finishing a couple of areas leaves me feeling wiped out, but in a good way. Not like running a marathon or what have you, but just drained of most types of energy in a pleasant way.

I think Rez is hard to explain without videos, but once you play it, you’ll either get into it and understand, while the controller is thmp-thmp-thmping in your hands, or you just won’t understand it, and pass.

For the oldschool Rez players, your 360 controllers double as trance vibrators; You can have controllers 2, 3, AND 4 just buzzing away on your lap if you’d like.

The best thing about it being on XBox Live Arcade is that you can download a demo of the first level, play it through to the boss at the end, and half-kill the boss before it tells you that to finish this up, you’ll need to pay for it. So, uh, if any of you have a 360, I’d suggest downloading the demo, putting on some headphones or cranking up that 5.1, and enjoy this in widescreen mode. It so, so makes it worth it.

It’s Saturday.

Dang, it feels really nice to have a Saturday off for once, even if WFO screwed up my time off request by giving me the whole day instead of just three hours.

I’ve been in bed all morning, enjoying the lazy time.

Time change still has me a mile off of the ordinary, though.

I’ve noticed that I’ve stopped blogging so much lately.

It’s a mixture of “I don’t really have any interesting things to blog about”, and “I don’t really want to resort to regurgitating the same news articles over and over again.” If I find anything worth posting about, maybe I’ll start posting a little more regularly over here.

Also, while I’m on it, if you’re looking for new music, I’d like to send you a referral to Amie Street. I’m still enjoying what’s happening there. Just poke me, and I’ll take you there. :)

“READ A BOOK READ A BOOK READ A MOTHER***KING BOOK.”

I found this book in a Wal-Mart the other day, and found it impossibly funny that we have to have a Dummies® book to inform us of our own heritage (and inform others, I would thusly surmise). I’ve never seen one for any other culture. I know some are available for religions, which would make sense, and in a way, this too makes sense, but wow, I’m surprised no one’s flipping out over this book yet.

Just a quickie here: How good is your math and money? You see, I think I can get about 94 of these for a dollar with what this says, and with sales tax, pay about $1 or $1.01 for it all. :)
As you can see, I spotted this at a McDonald’s.

It’s 2008 already…

Well, I haven’t bothered blogging since last year, it seems. There’s a fair bit going on, and I just can’t seem to sit down and post one off to here unless I’m in the mood to do so.

To sort of recap it all, let me start with this: I’ve done a bit of shopping to keep my spirits high.
I bought a few shirts from shirt.woot, including a shirt that’d be perfect for Valentine’s Day with the text, “Be my Dragontine?” on its front. Another shirt is all black, with a snowflake and diamond pattern on the front that looks very crisp. I’ve got to give those guys some serious kudos for their designs, since I’m spending $10 a shirt there (Cheap!) on some days.
I recently picked up a George Foreman grill for myself, since I’m still in the transitional housing program at the Salvation Army. Now, I can actually buy real meat (Gasp!), cook it, and eat it as part of a meal that I’ve prepared for myself.
I bought a couple of bottles from storybottles.com, and have them sitting right here in my cubicle at work. I can’t really decide on how I’m going to fill these. Ideally, I want to use distilled water, with a bit of food coloring, but I don’t want the food coloring to stain the bottle. I assume that with the distilled water lacking minerals, etc., and with the right food coloring, there won’t be any harm done to the insides.

At some point, I should get regular with my blogging again. I just haven’t had the energy to want to bother doing it lately.

Happy Crimbo!

For all of you out there who are enjoying the festive holiday, best wishes to you and your family from me.

Merry Christmas. :)

I’ll come back to normal around New Years, and hopefully be more up to date with things. :)
