Get your coupons with Cellfire!

@ppp@
I just recently joined the cellular age, by getting my own cell phone a couple of months ago.

I’m still discovering the plethora of applications that can be applied to these things, such as games, various web browsers, instant messengers, and others. But, there’s one thing I didn’t know that could be done with cell phones: Save money.

Enter Cellfire, a service that lets you snag available coupons and save them to your phone. Then, it’s as simple as showing your phone to the clerk at participating locations to get your discount. You don’t even need a printer, a secret handshake, or a blood ritual! Just make a purchase, show the clerk your phone, and boom, discount!

Cellfire is currently available to Cingular Wireless customers, and they make it very easy to get your FREE copy of Cellfire to start saving today.

The best part about Cellfire is, your only costs to get, and use the service is whatever your provider charges you for data. So, if you are getting charged $0.01 per kilobyte, and Cellfire itself is a one time download of around 71 kilobytes… and the average coupon is just a kilobyte or two… :) You come out quite ahead of the game in this case.

As I mentioned earlier, Cellfire is available only to Cingular Wireless customers in the USA which leaves me sad (author’s note: Please support Sprint, Together With Nextel next!) and fireless for now, but they are working on becoming available through other providers as soon as possible.
I almost regret not going with Cingular now as my provider… :)

Fortunately, if you’re on a provider that’s not supported yet, you can submit your number to receive a ONE TIME (important!!) text message, notifying you of the availability of the service.

(Although I am being compensated for this entry, I really am waiting to see this rolled out on Sprint. Gives me a legit use to whip out my phone. :))

Seeking: Software or Web Services.

I’m feeling a little frisky, and a bit bored.
I like to review software and web based services.
Unfortunately for me, there’re not enough of those opportunities on PayPerPost (I seriously enjoyed the GroupLoop and List’d opportunities, because that’s where my real energy shows, I feel). I LIKE to try out software and would dig talking about it.

Interestingly enough, I’ve only JUST noticed that I never did add an official ’software’ category to this blog.
So, I added it. Should add a Hardware category eventually.

What I like is anything that’s new and shiny, preferably runs on Windows 2000 at minimum (since I don’t have XP — Donate that, too, if you’d like… :)). If it runs in a browser, it has to run in Firefox or Opera in addition to Internet Explorer.
.NET is fine. So is GTK+, as long as it either has its own DLLs in a standalone directory (so that it won’t interfere with, or take settings from Gaim). Qt? Sure, as long as it runs.

I also do hardware, if you have one to loan to me… :)

Preamble: This post is actually a bit rougher than usual in its language. Shoot me, it’s three in the bloody morning, and I’m angry.

Therefore, in the interests of sanity, you’ll need to directly view this entry, rather than just view the front page. :)
