Pardon the playful title, but I have to say that I’m saddened by the death of MIDI.
Go ahead, and try to find a midi via Google.
The more popular the song is, the more likely you are to turn up sites selling ringtones to phones.
An example is Bob Sinclair’s “World Hold On” (Google Search).
They all want to sell poly-tones. 
Now, video games are mostly immune to this, but instead there aren’t many midis, if any, for less popular games (Ikaruga).
This is disappointing.
