Okay, I’ve basically had to ditch IndieKarma — not a single cent since the second of July, which means everyone’s probably blocked it. ;P I also didn’t like the script all that much - it reloaded too often for me, and was generally annoying.
It was an interesting concept while it lasted, but it was ultimately frustrating.

I’m too lazy to take an updated screencap: That ‘Will be paid:’ text should now read $51
I’d like to thank each and every one of you for putting up with me while I experiment here, and see how long this will keep my phone going. As some of you know, I like to experiment with methods to make money in the blogging madness. I’ve hopped from offer to offer, as I find they do not all work for bloggers.
In the case of Google’s AdSense, Chitika’s eMiniMalls, and the AdBrite network, their ads were quite likely blocked by most of my visitors — at least the Firefox-wielding lot of you.
Combined, all three of those running for at least 2 months, they earned me a dollar. That means I took home nothing, because they won’t pay out under $10, average.
IndieKarma’s micropayment idea would work.
If I had a hundred visitors per day ($0.01 * 100 = $1).
Who were all a part of the IK network.
Without blocking the IK bar via AdBlock, turning off JavaScript, or other methods.
As you can see in the earlier screencap, PayPerPost is working for me. I control the ad-based content on just about every level. I can say, “I don’t like eBay Sniping tools.” in a post, assuming I don’t have to stay tone neutral, and still get cash for it.
That’s what matters to me — actually getting paid to pimp someone else’s products.
That was not happening with AdSense.
That was not happening with eMiniMalls.
That was not happening with AdBrite.
For those of you who’re curious, no, this isn’t a paid posting — all my paid postings (except maybe one?) are also in my category, ‘Contributors’.
