Verbal explosion~!

There’s so much on my mind, sometimes, and I find that I can’t get it all out.

So, let’s just cover a bunch of it here.

I’ve been following Meebo rather loosely since their launch.
They’re the guys with the AJAX instant messenger that I recommend to you all for various reasons. I do have reasons to not switch, though, with the main one being “I’m at home. I don’t need an IM client on a tab. I’m fine with Gaim, and that’s that.” However, if I were not home, and I needed to use a client, Meebo’s where I’ll be going quickly.
So, I was following their blog, and one of the bugs they found in Meebo was rather amusing to me. I’ll cite it from this post in their blog:

We thought before we end this entry, we’d tell you about a funny bug we had. Sandy was testing the emoticons one by one, and discovered that when she typed “(lol)”, the entire browser died a horrible death. At 3am, this seemed HIGHLY amusing. We’ve had a lot of bad bugs, but we never thought a little emoticon could bring down an entire browser…

I wish I had audioblogging ability. Someone ought to offer a service that allows me to do just this, and have my posts end up in this blog, with proper XHTML. Of course, the service would either record only to Vorbis Audio, or allow one to switch to it without a hassle. And, of course, they would offer phone numbers that I can call, preferably without needing long distance, making the concept of blogging at a payphone a whole lot more palatable.

It seems that Yahoo! is offering domain registration for an unbelievable $2.99 per year, and you can register the domain for up to five years in one go. You don’t even have to take their hosting package to get the deal. Sounds pretty nice, and if I could afford to do it, I’d be taking advantage of it.

I’m still trying to either pick up a second job, or find a primary that will pay me more than I get now. I really can use the funds, and perhaps some health insurance, so I can afford a doctor’s visit. I still have the sinus polyps, and would like to get them out of my head before they can’t do a damn thing, and I have to die. Yeah. I’m afraid of how serious this could turn out to be.

I want to do something different with my life, and give it some sense of purpose beyond “pay bills, pay bills, pay bills, tolerate dramas.”

Oh, and sign up for second life, blah blah blah, you’ll help me out, mmhmm, yeah yeah, and you don’t have to spend a cent if you’ve never tried it before, uh-huh.
