Prescription for Irritation.

I now understand some of the stress the elderly have when it comes to paying for prescriptions, from a first-hand point of view.

Perhaps the statement, “Do I buy my pills today, or do I afford food?” has been defined with a bit more clarity than before.
I’m looking at my prescription right now — the one I wasn’t able to afford having filled, as it was an eighty-three dollar prescription for Flonase.

Feeling frisky and a bit risky, I decided to look around online, and check out some of these online pharmacies that I usually dig up for my aunt’s phentermine. Wow, was I shocked to see the prices online…

I found the same bottle of prescription Flonase, same dosage, and everything, for much less than I’d pay to get it from my local CVS/Pharmacy.
“Buy Flonase Nasal Spray - US$34.95 for 120 dose spray” was the text I was greeted with on one page. Shipping appeared to be a flat rate of US$15, but they did note that there IS a conversion from USD to NZD for the purchase. Still, it’d be one hell of a deal, compared to buying it locally. I don’t mind the shipping wait, really, if it means I can also afford my bills, and food.

Getting a little jumpy, I decided to look up the rest of my dope online — Lisinopril (Brand name: Zestril), Cyclobenzaprine (Brand name: Flexeril), and Hydrocodone/APAP (aka Vicodin).
Sadly, it seems that the results I’m getting are the ones I don’t want: You have to have the actual prescription, and fax or mail it to them to get a fill. This means I’d have to go back to the doctor that much sooner. It’s what I get for hoping to get a small fill that will hopefully last until I can go see the three doctors I’ve been recommended to go see.

But I have to see ‘em all.
One’s for my TMJ, another for my polyps, and the third is for my blood pressure which has skyrocketed back the hell up there.

Kinda makes you wonder, though…
Why are drugs so damn expensive here in America, but everyone else seemingly has them cheaper?

Odd that the site/company you were looking at was based in NZ.. oh well, such as it is I suppose

and I think the drug companies in the US are what keep the prices so hard, they’ve apparently had their foot in the door of the FDA for the longest time, that they keep competitors (with name brand drugs) out
