Sure, I am a month behind, but you all know why. :)

I was wandering around the BlogAds weblog, and noticed how they mentioned the movie “The Manchurian Candidatehere.

lj:forsolei: and I went to see this while I was up there.
The movie, at first, was kinda dull to me, but once I had the movie stored in my head, and had time to digest its contents, I find myself sufficiently spooked.
There is much that the US Government does not tell its citizens, and much that companies worldwide does not tell anyone, as well. Who is to say that we don’t already have a ‘Monkeychurian Candidate‘ in office already? Why else would we suddenly find ourselves at war with just about everybody, including ourselves?

Ah, well.

GMail, revisited.

While my dialup connection is sucking badly, I’ve been using alternatives to my own email account here on Gushi Systems (because Juno and Netzero act bloody stupid to my pop3 and IMAP attempts), which means I’ve been using webmail, mostly.

As much as I love my host’s services, webmail for me is really slow here. I’m so used to pop3 while on DSL that I’m having trouble coping. :P

So I’ve used my GMail account a little, and decided… I’m going to give away this invite I’m holding on to here, but at a bit of a cost.

So, here is the proposition.

What I would like is a nice little XHTML 1.0 Transitional or better template for WordPress. The default template is really… lacking, at times, for customization, but it’s okay.
I would prefer it if you followed the rules for tables: Tables are for data, not for presentation.

Hell, you can even use the default WP template from CVS (grab a nightly from wordpress.org ;)), and simply rewrite the CSS to something functional and pretty. :)

I’ll leave this offer up for a couple of weeks, and recommend that you simply comment to this entry, with an email address (which is never displayed on the blog: the email address is simply given to me-and-only-me with your comments, which makes it easier for me to follow up via email).

So, er, get cracking? :)
To hell with the invite offer. I hacked up something that I like for a template.
