On the side, you’ll notice there’s this little image of sorts, just sitting there and predicting DOOM!!!! for my area. I can actually link your ‘blog/journal with an image. I just noticed this feature built into WordPress (haha, i r dum~) last night, so I think I’ll start using this.
If you have a small (100px by 100 px or smaller) image that you don’t mind having used to refer to you, just post me a link to it. 
I’ll do the rest as soon as I can, even if it means I have to use that accursed Ef Tee Pee FTP protocol to do it with.
(Damnit, how I miss SSH, wget, and curl…)
And, with this, I think I just might start running short ads, as well.
So, here’s the deal.
I create a link cat called “Ads”, which sits at the top of most of my layouts.
You submit a link to advertise, with a description and/or image, and…
Until September 15, you can pay to run your ad for 6 months for, get this… $10*.
(That equates to what, $1.66 a month or so?)
I’ll only show two ads at a time, which will come up in a random display that WordPress automatically handles. That way, you won’t have much on the page to compete with, and you can be seen.
Linking back to me from a blog will net you an extra month free (because you’ll help my Technorati standings, and thus help yourself to extra audience).
After September 15, I’ll be decreasing the display time to 4 months per purchase.
Right now, it seems that the easiest way I can handle the transactions is via (bleh) PayPal.
Because of how asinine PayPal is about money transactions, I’ll be forced to deny ads with explicit adult content (pee-pees going into poo-poos, etc), but I can accept tasteful nudes, etc (Is that a pee-pee under the blanket? :P) and hopefully without penalty.
I’m currently looking for something that will let me still take transactions like this, and also accept credit cards (like I can with my PayPal account). Preferably offering a debit card of sorts so I can also access funds without waiting for a bank transfer.
Do note, however, that I’m processing the ads by hand, and with Hurricane Charley getting closer to the area, there may be a few days of delay while I run from this silly storm.
Does this at least sound interesting?
