Decided to look at my LJ client, see how many times my main journal got removed from someone’s list.
I’d like to say “Thank you” to everyone who deleted that account from their lists.
But then again, I guess I no longer care.
I’ll just sit over here now, hacking away at my own blog. Maybe I’ll move that RSS aggregator idea to something much lower on the list.
Blogetarian will never be. I don’t have the skill or patience to write it.
Is it too much to ask for an aggregator that will handle RSS and Atom, and email you once every few hours with the results, so that you can keep up with several services at once?
Hell, it’s not like I’m making it hard on LJ users to read me - They can read me all from one interface now, barring my paged/more entries using lj:xial_wp: (thanks, Ralesk), so they don’t have to go to some other server, and see how I’m doing.
Am I hated for being different?
Because I don’t like these furry cons that everyone is about to start prattling on and on about?
Because I don’t want to run out and fuck like rabbits like some?
Because I’m wanting to do more than sit in front of a PC?
Because I enjoy the warmth of someone’s voice in my ear?
Nah. I’m hated because I don’t like using LiveJournal, because I don’t want to fit in some common mold, because I wanted to use the space I pay for each and every year. Because I’m not “in”.
Well, thanks a lot. Really.

*earscratches* Why’re you so bitter? Some people use LJ, some don’t, and there’s probably reasons for both.

I have to agree with Schnee there, and have some other comments.
It’s damn hard to emote with your WP’s automagickal deasteriskiser function.
so they don’t have to go to some other server, and see how I’m doing.
My exact problem with non-LJ and non-MJ things. Must go around to all kinds of different sites if I want to leave a damn comment. Not to mention if I’d get a comment, I’d be having a hard time checking whether they are really the person they are, since everyone can enter a name and an e-mail and an URI and go and comment. And I don’t want to have to
nslookupordigand take notes whether a commenter really is the person they act as.Am I hated for being different?
This, I doubt has anything to do with people deleting your LJ from their LJ friend lists.
Because I don’t like these furry cons that everyone is about to start prattling on and on about?
As long as you don’t start whining about how much something sucks when you haven’t been to it and start belittling people who /do/ like wherever they had been, no problem.
I’m hated because I don’t like using LiveJournal, because I don’t want to fit in some common mold, because I wanted to use the space I pay for each and every year. Because I’m not “inâ€.
I still heavily disagree with the fact that you’d be hated for not using LiveJournal. It’s hard for us, yes. And no doubt it’s harder for you too to keep up with the rest of us. I doubt any hate you because you moved out and use your webspace and torture yourself with these differently-screwed things like MT and WP and the others. Do you know why I use LJ even though some things on it suck heavily? Because it makes it /so/ easy to keep up with others. Not to “fit inâ€. Screw that!
As Schnee, I don’t understand why you’re so bitter, either.

You’re not hated for being different, love. Think of it as Highschool. If you stop posting in your journal, a lot of people are just going to assume you don’t use that account to view others’ livejournals, and act accordingly- much in the same way that many highschool friends become aquaintances after high school.
You’ve graduated. Your highschool friends are gone.. but the people you really care about are still here, right? *nuzzles*
