Well, I’m still buying music legally (The RIAA would be proud if I paid for music from them, but keep reading).
I just paid for my second album from Magnatune.com - spent $9, and picked up Emma’s Mini: beat generation mad trick.
I can truthfully say that for the most part, I’ve enjoyed this soundtrack (I’m currently on track 7 of 13 tracks).
It’s very smooth to listen to, and the lyrics are tasteful and well-used compared to the music that accompanies them.
From track 4 - “Highway 99″
Driving in the pouring rain,
Trying to think of who’s to blame;
Why do I always feel this pain,
When there’s nothing left for me to gain?
Stop right now, and tell me,
What am I supposed to do about you?
Stop right now and tell me,
How am I supposed to [breathe | be*] without you?
Stop right now and tell me,
What am I supposed to do about you,
Right now, Right now, Right now, Right now, Right now.
(*: I can’t tell if that’s ‘breathe’ or ‘be’, though both fit.)
Track 4 also gained my slot for “Absolute Favorite Track”, as well.
So, go check ‘em out. You can listen for free, and choose to buy if you like it.
